Catching Up: A Quick Snapshot of our October

Breakfast is the most silliest meal of the day.

Haircuts at home

Playing on the "Treasure Island" set.

Pumpkin carving

Aileen thought the pumpkin insides were gross.

Apparently students are allowed to write each other notes at school.  Avery likes to write notes to himself sometimes.

Avery's invention.  He wants to be able to turn off the lights while lying in bed.

Here are the plans on how to construct the invention to turn off the lights while still in bed.

Catching Up: A Quick Snapshot of our September

Avery's 2nd grade class had a fall party.  After the festivities were finished, he noticed the room mom carrying a box of leftover cupcakes.  He asked what she was going to do with the leftover cupcakes.  She joked, "I'm going to go home and eat them all tonight.  What do you think about that?"  Avery replied "That would be paradise!"

A true sleeping beauty

We find her in awkward positions sometimes when she sleeps.

Too cool to have his photo taken with little Sis in front of the school.

She learned that smile from her big bro

First Day of Preschool

A paused pose for the camera.

She sometimes insists on having lunch on the kitchen counter.  We are in princess dress action right here.

Off she goes.  This is my view after dropping her off for her first day of preschool.  After kissing me goodbye, she jetted out to the playground.  All by herself, she was ready to conquer the day.  From my perspective, she still looks so small and vulnerable.  It is hard for a mommy to let go sometimes.

Clint's parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year.

She loves her jolly Grandpa.

Like Father like Son.  Watch out!  : )

Here is one of the many "traps" we have found in our home.  Avery likes to set them for us.  See the fringe feelers on the bottom tape?  This is to tickle the victim's ankles.  Unfortunately, we  have also found that masking tape can sometimes take the paint off walls.

Avery, the entrepreneur, making merchandise to sell to kids at school to make Pokemon profit.

Aileen and I tried making sparkly peppermint scented playdoh.  We got to play with it while it was still warm and the smell was strong.  It was fun for the senses.
