Always on the lookout for new projects
I love to visit sites and blogs for crafty ideas to do with my son. Here are a few pics of the recent ideas I found. It gives us something to do and an opportunity to bond in sharing something we both enjoy.
1.) masking tape stencil fingerpainting
2.) rocket ship jumping cups (you rig a rubberband on the inside of one to help it "jump" up when it is placed on top of another cup)
3.) marker paints (great way to use old dried up markers rather than throwing them away)
Calm, Cool and Creative
1.) fine motor skills yarn shapes (pre-writing exercise)
2.) foam & milk cap homemade stampers
3.) play party hats (the green one on the table is supposed to be like a dragon)
4.) coffee filter spiderwebs
October Festivities
1.) YMCA Boo Bash games
2.) Avery as a member of Lightning McQueen's pit crew (he was so proud of his costume that he was "in character" all night holding his headset and communicating with Lightning McQueen himself!
3.) Rutledge Wilson Farms - playing on top of the hay bale maze
4.) picking out a pumpkin to carve (he wanted to find the BIGGEST one)
5.) FBC Trunk or Treat games

Parades, Football & Picnics!
1.) Stockton Lake picnic with friends cookout
2.) Stockton Lake picnic with friends - playing in the field with other kids during the softball game (Avery loved the digger toy!)
3.) Grabbing and sharing candy at the hometown homecoming parade
4.) tailgate meal at the homecoming football game (while proudly listening to his dad announce the plays)
Hands On Learning
1.) taste test experiment with different apple dips
2.) practicing cutting straight lines with t.p. roll octopus
3.) learning about seashells, practice counting & grouping, learning to notice details with a magnifying glass
