Avery
We had a few snow days which he and his dad enjoyed sledding
together.
Repeats “dadgummit” under his breath, like his father, when
he is frustrated.
When Avery plays the Wii, it becomes an aerobic activity for
him. He often gets so warm jumping
around with the controller that he takes off his shirt to cool down.
Avery also still enjoys creating things. Recently, he made his own board game from a
cereal box. Along with it, he made a
couple of decks of cards. The cards had
the same number on the backs and different characters to go along with the game
on the fronts. Three characters he has
drawn before in other projects were included in the cards: Super Avery (a good
guy), Big Boxer (bad guy), Dr. Snake (bad guy).
He also draws these characters with a friend at school and added her
character to his deck (Mr. Hairball).
They draw together and give these characters adventures.
Aileen
Tosses her cup up and over into the sink, or hands us her
plate when she is finished – has a need to put things back in their place
Plays a game where she hides behind a rocking chair and
repeatedly says “BOO!” to try and scare us
Found a piece of scrap paper, held it up and tried to say “triangle”
to name its shape
We sometimes place the chairs in a row in the dining room
when we need to pull them out to sweep the floor. Aileen likes to climb on them and chant “Choo
choo!” like she is riding a train.
She enjoys seeing the “fishies” when we take a trip to
Wal-Mart and stop by the aquariums.
